On the ground floor (for practical and safety reasons due to the better resistance of the ground), near the offices, but without possible access by an outside public.<\/p>\n<p>Unfinished cellars and attics should absolutely be avoided due to the risk of flooding, the possible presence of pests or significant variations in ambient temperature.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row us_custom_7b7a7572 height_auto\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_boxes reversed\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container topbotextra\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner us_custom_8d45c27c\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h2>The archive room as such<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Here are some recommended technical characteristics for an optimal and secure layout of your archive room:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>minimum door width: 1 m;<\/li>\n<li>floor resistance (for shelving 2.20 m high): 900 kg\/m\u00b2 for fixed shelving and 1,300 kg\/m\u00b2 for mobile shelving;<\/li>\n<li>minimum width of circulation aisles between shelves: 0.80 m;<\/li>\n<li>minimum width of circulation aisles perpendicular to shelving: 1.20 m;<\/li>\n<li>temperature: 16\u00b0C to 22\u00b0C (maximum variation of 2\u00b0C per week);<\/li>\n<li>hygrometry: 45% to 55% humidity;<\/li>\n<li>brightness: 200 lux;<\/li>\n<li>lighting: fluorescent tubes on the ceiling in the circulation aisles. Avoid or obscure the windows;<\/li>\n<li>coverings: washable and anti-dust floor covering; dustproof paint on walls and ceiling.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also remember to plan for regular cleaning and dusting of the room. The presence of dust, which is detrimental to the proper preservation of documents, also favors the arrival of mould.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row us_custom_7b7a7572 height_auto\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_boxes reversed\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container topbotextra\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner us_custom_8d45c27c\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h2>Furniture for your archive room<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Keep in mind when choosing and installing your shelving (fixed or mobile):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>prefer metal to wood (which burns and molds more quickly);<\/li>\n<li>opt for stable and height-adjustable shelving to adapt them to the dimensions of the archive boxes;<\/li>\n<li>do not place the shelves against the walls to protect the documents from humidity;<\/li>\n<li>install the shelving perpendicular to any windows to protect the archive boxes from direct light;<\/li>\n<li>ensure good air circulation by leaving 30 cm between the ceiling and the top of the shelves, and at least 5 cm between the walls and the shelves.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row us_custom_7b7a7572 height_auto\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_boxes reversed\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-12 wpb_column vc_column_container topbotextra\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner us_custom_8d45c27c\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h2>Security within the archive room<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Ensure the safety of people and documents by providing: a fire protection system (including 1h fire doors, 2h walls and floor, dry powder extinguishers and smoke detectors) as well as a burglar alarm system (including a high quality lock with permanent key, window bars or security glass).<\/p>\n<p>You can limit the risks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>fire or infestation by insects or rodents by not storing anything other than archives in the room (no supplies or food, etc.);<\/li>\n<li>water damage by protecting any pipes present in the room and by not placing the shelving directly below;<\/li>\n<li>for the safety of people by never placing shelves or boxes in front of emergency exits or in the middle of traffic corridors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section class=\"l-section wpb_row us_custom_f4e9e5ae height_auto\"><div class=\"l-section-h i-cf\"><div class=\"g-cols vc_row via_flex valign_top type_boxes\"><div class=\"vc_col-sm-6 wpb_column vc_column_container has_bg_color\"><div class=\"vc_column-inner us_custom_e44e3a79\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_6df4bc3a has_text_color\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><h3>Take advantage of our advice on archived documents!<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_small\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column us_custom_df5f4c97 has_text_color\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Do not hesitate !
