A sustainable archive centre in Tubize: Archives Conseil’s ecological commitments<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div>

In a world that is increasingly aware of environmental issues, Archives Conseil has made the bold choice to make its new Tubize centre part of a resolutely eco-responsible approach. This ambitious project aims to reconcile logistical efficiency with maximum reduction of the ecological footprint. Here’s an overview of the concrete measures implemented.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

High-performance insulation<\/h3>\n

The building is designed to minimise energy loss. All the elements – walls, roofs, floors, partitions – benefit from high-performance PIR (polyisocyanurate) or rock wool insulation, guaranteeing optimum thermal comfort in both summer and winter. Super-insulating glazing completes the package.<\/p>\n

Energy self-sufficiency thanks to solar power<\/h3>\n

The entire roof of the centre will be fitted with photovoltaic panels, ensuring total electrical autonomy. This green energy will power not only the building but also the charging points for electric vehicles.<\/p>\n

Intelligent water management<\/h3>\n

A 20,000-litre tank will collect rainwater, which will then be used for sanitary purposes thanks to a hydrophore unit. The heating\/air conditioning system also uses this resource to cool the offices in summer.<\/p>\n

Comfort and energy efficiency<\/h3>\n

Underfloor heating, an air\/water heat pump, dual-flow ventilation with heat recovery: everything is designed to combine employee comfort and energy efficiency.<\/p>\n

Soft mobility and intelligent lighting<\/h3>\n

The site will encourage sustainable travel, with 25 bicycle spaces and 7 electric recharging points. LED lighting, coupled with presence detectors in the storage area, will limit energy consumption to the essentials.<\/p>\n

Respectful exterior landscaping<\/h3>\n

No unnecessary asphalt: the parking areas are designed with grass slabs or draining paving stones. The rest of the site will be planted with local species: maples, prunus, wild flowers, etc. to encourage biodiversity.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
