The new Archives Conseil centre in Tubize is not just environmentally friendly: it is also a technical feat designed to meet the specific needs of the secure archiving and document destruction sector.<\/p>\n

A bespoke structure<\/h3>\n

The building will cover 2,291 m\u00b2 for the storage area and 223 m\u00b2 for the offices. It is 74 metres long, 53 metres wide and 9 metres high. Its structure is made up of insulated concrete panels at the base and sandwich panels at the top, to combine robustness and insulation.<\/p>\n

Smooth logistics and optimised storage<\/h3>\n

The polished concrete floor facilitates the movement of handling equipment. Access to the storage areas is via a platform for lorries and a sectional door for smaller vehicles. Inside, racks store 2,556 euro-pallets on 4 levels.<\/p>\n

Controlled storage conditions<\/h3>\n

Temperature and humidity will be continuously monitored. If necessary, air heaters will heat the air and return the heat to the floor to maintain a constant temperature suited to the conservation of the documents.<\/p>\n

Multi-purpose and technical offices<\/h3>\n

In addition to the traditional workspaces, the offices will house a reception area, changing rooms, a workshop for the manufacture of secure sorting consoles, an area dedicated to the maintenance of rental shredders, and a 35 m\u00b2 scanning room equipped with the latest technology [add internal links to departments].<\/p>\n

Maximum security<\/h3>\n

The site will be equipped with access control systems, surveillance cameras, and motion and intrusion detectors. Fire protection is provided by detectors, extinguishers and hydrants, to guarantee optimum safety for documents and staff.<\/p>\n

Accessibility for all<\/h3>\n

The building has been designed to accommodate people with reduced mobility, with adapted access, PRM toilets and a dedicated parking space.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
